Arkansas Dirt Riders

To everyone who riders at the Ross property, we are in the middle of reclaiming the damaged trails - and there are a lot of them. If you don't want to have to jump a bunch of logs, ride around a lot of debris or get off and push under a tree then now is the time for you to come out and "give rack" to the trail system in the form of helping to clean up what you have been riding. Again, these trails DO NOT appear on their own. PEOPLE put them in and PEOPLE have to take care of them. You help is greatly appreciated in restoring the trails to a ridable condition. Thanks

Are y'all not meeting on the pipeline?

Bruce, I'm planning on being on the pipeline.

What time are y'all meeting?

I will come help if I can find someone to ride over with me Saturday but I am having a hard time getting anybody to make the 3+ hour drive to work trails they only ride two or three times a year. I really want to help you guys but I'm not willing to make the trip alone.

 

If you can make it Mark that would be great. This time of year we usually meet on the pipeline ready to ride at 9 am. We change to 8am when it gets a little warmer.

Thanks for your invite. I'm still working on finding someone to ride over with me. It's a long drive from Mississippi.

Long Ridge to the power line is complete. Better than ever. Warehouser from Jack Mtn road after Jim Cook's Big Nasty trail around to Jack Mtn again is complete.

I'd say about 60% of the original Warehouser is done. I rode Lynn's section and it is full of broken limbs. Not very many trees to cut, just limbs to pick up.

Don't know if they are using these sections in the event, but they are fun to ride. Especially since they cleared!

We got a lot cleared Saturday as well.  I think we will have more than enough trail to have a good trail ride for the February ADR club ride on the 23rd.  Wooowhoo!

Hey, for those that want to continue the work in that area here is where you can start. Head west on Dishroon to Files Ranch Road. Turn right and go about 1/4 mile where we

used to turn into the woods. It'll be on your left. That is where i left off from Saturday's work and will continue this Saturday unless someone goes down before then. There are

a few places that will need to be rerouted because of the washing of the trail, but the rest is just throwing limbs and debris off the trail. If I can recall there are only a couple of

trees down from there until the staging area. Some of the small pines- 6 to 8 ft - will have to be cleared as they are bent over and will not return straight. A few places of those

leaning into the trail. Have fun and we'll see you guys Saturday.
