Got my 83 YZ250 all finished up and buttoned up. Took it to the 160 today for my first ride on it. Sid and I made several laps around the mx track then headed out to the single track trail. My first impression of how the bike handles and performs on the single track was far above my expectations. When I rebuilt the suspension I added RaceTech cartridge imulators to the forks with their reccommendations on settings, spring preload, fluid weight and fluid height in the fork. I gotta say I think they nailed the settings the first time, the forks soak up the roots and choppy parts of the trail very well. I'm thinking the suspension on it is a done deal other than possibly some stiffer springs to get my sag exactly where I want it.
My impression of the bike is:" it floats like a butterfly" and with the right rider on it, "not me", it could "sting the competition like a bee".
