This is HOT off the email presses and boy is it HOT. Seems there are some upset people responding quickly both ways. The news of the day is that the LBL 200 for 2020 has been cancelled. Thats as of this afternoon. WHats the controversary you might ask? Well it seems the fine folks that promote the LBL 200 want to only refund $100 of your $180 entry fee! Then whenever entries open for 2021 you can enter at that time and pay another $180. Thats option one. Option two is that they keep your full entry and you are signed up for 2021, but you still have to pay another $180 in 2021! There's the rub. They say your entry this year will be donated to organizations that are in need??? I didn't like what some of the people posted about another riders point of view, as everyone has different situations in life. But for someone to say, go ride elsewhere and calling him names is not very professional coming from a commerical insurance agent. SO my take is lets not find our names on that list of name callers and keep your decision at home. Talk with your friends and fellow ADR members and then take action. So for everyone who signed up to ride LBL 200 for this year you have a decision to make. I hope you choose      wisely. . . .

So let me get this right they either make 80 bucks off of you this year or they make 180 off of you this year and next year. That's awesome. I hope you paid with your credit card so you can get your 180 back

Basically, that is correct Chris.  If I ask for my $100 refund, it costs me $80 to not ride the LBL200 this year.  If I want to ride next year with a guaranteed spot, it costs me $360.  No Dual Sport is worth $360 of my money.  (Plus lodging and food). This is past the money, it is the principle.  Everyone should have been offered a full refund, or roll $180 over to 2021, and there would be very few complaints. My 2 cents and I am not going to be one of those on the email trail of the original email. A very poor business decision in my opinion.  I will wait and see if there are any changes in the refund policy over the next few days, and make a decision on any future plans for the LBL200.

LBL is the most money I have ever paid to ride an event but I do enjoy the event. That being said I agree with Bob 100% no ride is worth $360 to me so I guess if they don’t amend the proposal I will have to take my $100 and not plan to go next year. I have had a couple cancellations this year and $10 is the most anyone kept for administration. IMHO if you want refund they could keep a small admin fee max $25 which would equal nearly $7000 to cover admin fees or let me ride next year on the money I already paid. Sounds like they still want to make the profit they were expecting and there is always the possibility they already spent said profits.

Canceled my campsite reservations today. They charged a fair $10 administration fee.

We're just letting everyone know of some changes we made to the refunding process for the 2020 LBL 200. We now have 2 options to choose from:
1. a full $180 refund
2. using entry fee towards 2021 (reserves spot and you will NOT have to pay for anything next year)
Please let me know your new choice. Thanks.

So whats everyone gonna do? We letting it ride for next year or we boycotting the LBL200??? curious minds just wanna know. . .

i plan to ride.  They sent a confirmation email back to me too.

I ask them to hold my money for next year.
