Hi Guys, Im planning on moving to NW AR in the next few months. It looks like you all have a lot of dual sport opportunities in the state. How hard is it in Arkansas to convert an offroad Title ktm 350xcf to street legal in Arkansas? I appreciate any advise yall can give and look forward to meeting you on the trails.
Did you by it new? Do you have a title for it? If you do that will help.
I'm going through the "process" with my XR250R. No title, needed a vin certification $25, then a bonded title $100, insurance, and assessment. If your a displaced Yankee like me you need to understand the assessing thing in Arkansas. Not a big deal, just another little hurdle in the process. Once the paperwork is done it's up to you to get the lights, turn signals, brake switches, tires, horn. If your rural like me you can get away with minimal stuff but if you plan to do a lot of riding where bigger city police hang out might want to go the extra mile on being street legal. If you do fackbook, check out Adventure Riders of Arkansas; a bunch of D/S and Adventure riding fools reside there.
Pete...Pete...Pete No turn signals required in Arkansas. Hand signals still suffice. Easy state to get licensed as you know. I am glad you cleared up the title piece. I have a couple that I did not have the title for. Watch out Nhinton, I think one of Pete's requirements is three days of trail work at Brock Creek. Welcome to Arkansas. One of, if not the best state for dual sport and off-road motorcycling.
