Saturday there were 6 or 7 folks doing a clean-up day at Brock Creek. It was actually a great day to do it as the temps were down and the ground was slick. We didn't see any actual hunters in the woods or roads! But we did wear our orange just for safety sake. There was several miles of trail cleaned up and after lunch CB and I finished up a good long section of #23. We spent some time doing what was at first to be thought of as a route around, but turned into a full fledged new trail. Some good, but a lot bad. Steve M. would love it if it were dry, but no one is going to like it when wet going the direction we were working it. Oh well!!! All in all a good work day. I know as when we headed back to the truck you could now cook on the trails that were cleaned without worry of stones and woods being in the trail. NICE. . .
On another note, did you guys know that the Ross Property has a place to ride, but it is closed from Oct. 1 until Jan. 1??? Met some guys from Arkadelphia that knew a lot about this riding area. They thought that area was just as rough as Brock Creek. Also thought that the trail system was about as long as Brock Creek. They were looking for some single track trails at Brock Creek and I told them to follow me and I'd show them the one we were working on - never saw them again the rest of the day!
