How'd everyone do?  Hot enough for everyone?

I rode Black Bird harescramble.  It was 104 at race time. The dust was thick as 70's shag carpeting!  Trail was fun and fast. Took till the last 2 laps to get some flow as the quads had it pretty rutted up.   I managed to hold onto a win in my A Vet class and a 6th overall placing.

So,you sure enough sandbagged untill the last two laps?  Congrats,way to come through.

I think you meant  "dust-bagging"!!

Mud might be worse, but at least in the mud you can see where you are going to get stuck or hit a tree.

It was plenty hot at Stillwater as well.  Our two best finishers were Lloyd Loux and Steve Morris each with a third place.  I had a shifter work loose on the second test.  It took me about 6 minutes to get that rectified.  Still if you take off those 6 minutes and I would only have been 5th instead of the 7th that I actually got.  The heat really got to Sid and Raymond.  They saw the blinking numbers on their ICO's and under the heat's distress they got confused and thought that meant they needed to hurry up!  Man they were flying when they went into that 3rd check about 5 minutes hot.  Oh well stuff happens. We may not have all finished as well as we would have liked but the track was fun.  The little bit of rain they got in the middle of the week really kept the dust down and the traction to a premium.  I'm already looking forward to next year.  

I forgot to mention our out of state member James.  He won A-Open and got 5th overall.  Unfortunately it wasn't good enough to keep him number one in the Overall standings but there are still two more races.
