Or should it read, LBL 190??? Well the 2019 version of the LBL200 is over. Yes it was a great ride and ADR had a great turnout. The route sheet read as the following: Saturday 154 miles and Sunday 103 miles. Yep, thats what it said and after the ride Saturday I believe it because thats what our odometers read! Now Sunday started with the trio of Bruce, Sid and myself feeling a little fiesty after Saturday's ride. I guess it might have been the dinner they served up or because we had to wait in line for about 20 minutes!!! Much to Sid's disposition. Anyway, back to Sunday's adventure. It was going to be the same as the Saturday route until after lunch. When we turned into the woods, Bruce was lead, then Sid and myself right behind. Then we came upon some traffic and Bruce swept by. It took Sid a bit to get sround and the same for me. I guess it was a good thing we were riding in that order as at about mile 15 Sid's bike decided to quit. Yep, right out there in the middle of the woods. So we tried to trace the electrical issue and could not find it, so the tow straps came out and I towed him about a mile on the single track to a much needed fire road, which Bruce had been waiting at. Then to the highway via a nice gravel road. We really lucked out on the location of the breakdown if you can call it that. Bruce and I hotfooted it back to Camp Piney to get Sid's truck and came back to get him alseep on the ground. So that was the end of the Sunday ride. about 40 miles miles all toll. I still haven't ridden a full Sunday ride there! Injury, rain and breakdown. In that order. But as I mentioned, the Saturday route was great. Except the dust I would have put it as one of the best Dual Sport rides. The trails were super as well as the fire roads. The gravel rods and pavement sucked as usual. These guys just keep improving their event. The lunch was under tents with fans! Dinner was steak and chicken on a stick. All in all it was a good trip and we all came back uninjured and for the most part our equipment is good to go. Except one KTM300 that will spend some time at Greg Pruss's garage!!! Sorry some of you missed out on this ride if you are an advid dirt rider, you would have enjoyed it. Maybe next year!!!!
