ADR should be proud of it's membership. On a weather sketchy day there were 17 brave individuals that showed up to work the trails in preparation for our race. There was enough manpower to split into 4 work teams and by lunch we had addressed many areas. There were some work teams after lunch but the rain came in and I mean RAIN. To complicate the retreat from the rain, a couple of members decided to pleasure ride in their sideXside right along the lakefront. Who knew Lake Greeson had quicksand? After 3 four wheelers attempted to extricate the vehicle from the mud we gave up and ran for cover from the thunder & lightning. Heck, that sideXside may still be there this morning.
Great things about wet trails and driving home in a pouring rain storm:
No need to clean air filter ( maybe wring it out)
The bike was pretty darn clean when arriving at home
Driving home fully dressed in your riding gear really saves time
I want to personally thank all those who participated and worked so hard. For those that couldn't make it, I'll be heading back to Kirby Saturday March 6th for some more fun. GREAT JOB!
