Johnny F and I got in 57 miles on Thursday. Probably the last one until next year! Man was it a great day to be in the woods. 56 degrees going in and 83 coming out. Dirt was just absolutely fab.
Had to stop a lot as I didn't want to go looking for JF and he did really good. Riding very well now. Husky must be finding him as a good fit. we had a good time. Rode almost all of the super short course and all of the short course and a little extra. No one else out in the woods except a gentleman that was marking trails for the Bar 50's charity horse ride this weekend for the St. Judes Hospital. Nice man. Met him at the bottom of Buckeye while waiting for JF.
Hey is you haven't gotten out to ride at the Ross, your time is running low. Oct. 1 the property will be closed until Jan. 1, 2013. While the ground is still moist and the temps are low is the time to ride. I understand that a group went out Wednesday and had a great time as well. But I don't see how it could have been any more fun than what we had Thursday! Hope they did and no one got hurt or broke anything. I think JF said he fell several times after touching some trees or rocks or something. CB, I want you to know that I didn't fall once. I actually had a very good day and enjoy it alot. There are days like that I guess. Some days are diamonds and some days are stones. . . .
