Arkansas Dirt Riders

The day started off early with temps in the mid 70's and Tom Steele being the first one there.  I almost turned around and went home not believing what I just saw.  The hard working crew were Tom Steele, Dirk Wilkinson, Greg Pruss, Jim Holub, Bobby Diffee, Lynn Burton, Mark Miller and myself.  Thank goodness Greg, Tom,  and Bobby brought their 4 wheelers and a special shout out to Dirk for bringing his side x side Mule.  That thing will go where no man has gone before.  We needed those vehicles to move 42 bags of concrete each weighing 80 pounds to several spots on the course.  After the concrete moving/placing, the team cleaned up the parking area removing tree limbs, weeds, etc., while Jim, Dirk, and Bobby ran the weed eater and the mower.  Everyone did a great job and worked hard.  After the work everyone went their separate ways (home or lunch at the Dinner Bucket or Burger King).

It's coming together and the only pressing matters left are course direction, grass track layout and Razorback Rumble course.

Great report Kent! With one exception, I ran three lasp looking at what was brush and what was weeds/grass. It makes a big difference in ability to kill. Since Sid needed to know about how many miles of each vegitation there was and he couldn"t be there, I did it for him. Now we have a more accurate account of what to buy and use -- read cheaper there!!!As a follow-up to Kent's report, I want to thank everyone who showed up and worked for the upcoming ARHMA event. The guys did a great job and it was starting to get warmer as we were leaving around 11:30; with the xception of Bobby who couldn't get enough of lawn mowing with the ADR lawn mower. I don't think left until around 2 or 3 that afternoon! A mowing maniac..  . .  .. And the "post engineered" bridge is a work of art and very functional. Good job to all that was involved there. Uh and no Dinner Bucket - it was closed. We ate at the Dairy Diner. Pretty good....
