Well, yesterday started out pretty cold with temps around 35 degrees, but warmed up to about 59 by 2:30. Four brave souls took off for the National Forest and probably worked on the Dual Sport route. Jim, Lynn, Kent and one new club member who I apologize to....I did not get a name. Two Betas, one Husky and one KTM disappeared into the woods and we never saw them again.
Four of us rode vintage bikes on the 160, working in the trail and practicing for the AHRMA events coming up. Slippery in some spots, lots of creek crossings, tight (we ran it backwards) but the trail was actually in remarkably good condition. Most of us did 4 laps. Some of us took some new off road routes. Some of us took soil samples. (3 out of 4). The birthday boy (Bob Diffee) was not talking. Did I mention it was slick in some spots. Could not have been rider error. Lloyd, Tom S., Bobby, and myself.

All in all a great day in the woods.
The rest was riding some two track and single track near 52 humps (which was in a state of remarkable crap)! The side by sides have really done a number at the top of it and you had to ride down in a slick rut. Fine job for sure. We did find a couple of trails I had not been on and neither had Lynn for the look on his face a couple of times!!! 
And they are a pretty good length as well. Did find a good Hero section that we will use too. Some really good stuff we hope in incooperate into the Dual Sport. We had a great time and looked as though a couple of guys had had their monies worth at the end of the day. I really like the trail that runs south out of the 160 into the NFS land - both going and coming. Very fun stuff. I talked to Tim and they had a good ride at Brock. Maybe next year we can use that in some of the Hero section for the Dual Sport or Adventure rides??? I am just sayin:.
