In October, you will probably want to try Brock Creek Trail. It's well marked, but a bit rocky. Brock Creek is in the Ozark/St. Francis National Forest, and is approximately, 30 miles northeast of Russellville, 30 miles northwest of Morrilton, and 35 miles southeast of Clinton. (almost directly on the path of the TAT).
A map is available on the USFS web site. The trails are numbered, and designated atv and motorcycle trails. The perimeter trails are easier, and the "cross trails" are more vertical. Look here for a map: http://www.fs.usda.gov/Internet/FSE_DOCUMENTS/fsm8_042765.pdf
Another option in October would be the Bear Creek Cycle Trail along the north and eastern shore of Lake Greeson, 50 miles southwest of Hot Springs off US Highway 70.
Hey guys I'm moving from NC to AR for a great new job in the north Little Rock area early December, hope to ride Saturday Dec. 9th! I'm on a 2012 KTM 250XC and ride mostly single track, with a bent for the gnarly stuff (Brown Mountain and Brushy Mountain in NC for reference). Good to meet Ya'll!
Hey friends! My name is Alex. I'm French, living in Arkansas for the past 7 years.
I ride a 2013 KTM 250 sxf. I found this forum because I was making research about section 13 trails west Little Rock and found an article saying that Arkansas Dirt Riders made a proposal to help managing the park.
We tried but our efforts went south, thanks to local property owners that were opposed. ADR meeting 7 pm 1st Tue each mo at American pie pizza, Maumelle Blved No Little Rock. Hope to see you next meeting.
