I saw someone post in another forum that KTM recommends 60:1 for their 300's. Coming from the old school world of 32:1 I thought I was making a big jump when I started using 50:1 synthetic. Do any of you run 60:1?

I am still 50:1 with Amsoil Interceptor on my 13'.  Perhaps I'll research this more, too.

Yep, Motorex 60-1

I am using 100:100  ratio in my 400. That's pure 95 octane premium gasoline to 95 octane gasoline. Most of the time its Shell or Exxon premium with a little PJ1 octane booster thrown in.

Has worked great for three 400's over the years! Don't know why you guys are all up in arms about going to 60:1. . . .  

Do they still make KTM 400's? 

Nope they quit making them because Jim was the only one buying them.

You guys are just too darn funny! Yes, the last one was 2010, but you know you can still have a 400. Just buy a 350 and do a little work to it.

But it is still not the 400. Higher revving and good tractable power through the tight, good weight to power, and most of all estart! Love that button.

So laugh on you two stroker dudes. Keep talking about all those fuel to oil ratios and make sure you carry some of dat oil with you when you go out

on a long ride in Colorado. That little made fun of 400 just pulls up to a pump and filler up. You guys ready yet? Or do you have to make sure you ratios are correct?

on their board of insiders. Surely I am. . . .

I spoke to Amsoil about using the Interceptor at 60:1 instead of 50:1.  Legally they cannot stand by the 60:1 because it's not tested at that. Although they say its not a big difference so should not be a big deal.

My rep recommended possibly using this, as it is tested for 100:1

For sure, Pete. Got my JD kit installed last night. Could tell immediately just from sitting there revving it up that it was tons better.   I'm going to stick with 50:1 for a another tank full, then switch to 60:1.
